When you set your intention and refuse to allow obstacles to get in your way you open yourself to all the Universe has in store. There is no limit to your ability to create a magical outcome, but you must participate. Open yourself up to fully committing and expose your strengths and weaknesses. Because of this, some people are afraid to commit as they do not want to be weak or vulnerable. Below are five common reasons people do not commit & how to overcome them.

People who are afraid to fail usually experienced ridicule at some point in their past. They do not want to experience that feeling again. People do not want to be embarrassed by a plan not working out the way they hoped. They are worried about how people will view them if they fail. They do not want to experience that vulnerability. If this is you, it’s important to offer yourself praise and encouragement for even minor accomplishments.

Most people do not envision their success. A full commitment requires a person to take on intimidating responsibilities. They get scared of their light shining brightly because it is a feeling they have not yet experienced. The Universe can create more success than you can ever imagine if you are willing to become a co-creator in your life.

Most people are not committed to their physical health. This has manifested in the high obesity rates in the US. Most people are not committed to their relationships which is shown in a 50% divorce rate. Anything slightly uncomfortable turns people off.     I really liked and related to this article. I most relate to commitment #1, fear of failure. I’m usually successful in my endeavors; however, for those things I find challenging I attempt to overcome them secretly, when I know sharing could possibly bring me support. I simply don’t want to fail in front of others. Very thought- provoking article.
