March 8, 2023@1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Learn How Women Can Cultivate AI and the Future of Work to Advance Their Careers

Dr. Anne-Marie Imafidon is a computer scientist, mathematician, and co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise, Stemettes. She was voted the 2020 most influential woman in tech in the UK by Computer Weekly and featured among the top 10 BAME (Black and Asian Minority Ethnic) leaders in tech by The Financial Times.

A child prodigy, at age 11 Anne-Marie passed her first two GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education) and at 13 was the recipient of a scholarship to Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. She then went to Oxford, starting her master’s in mathematics and computer science at 17 and becoming one of the university’s youngest ever master’s graduates.

Her wealth of experience and pioneering spirit led her to co-found the Stemettes, which is dedicated to inspiring and promoting the next generation of young women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Since its inception 10 years ago, it has exposed 60,000 young people across Europe to Anne-Marie’s vision for a more diverse and balanced science and tech community. In 2022, she released She’s in CTRL, a guidebook for women to take back tech.

A recognized and respected thought-leader in the tech space and trustee at the Institute for the Future of Work, Anne-Marie has spoken across the globe for some of the world’s largest companies, including Facebook, Amazon, Google, Mercedes Benz, and Mastercard. She is the temporary Arithmetician on Countdown, the world’s longest running gameshow. She also hosts the popular Women Tech Charge podcast and has conducted live interviews with famous faces from the tech world and beyond, including Jack Dorsey and Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Anne-Marie will join this global CREW Network-hosted event live to share her story, and discuss innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), the future of work, resiliency, and facing and overcoming bias. This International Women’s Day event is complimentary and open to all
