DESCRIPTION:Explore Frederick’s African American history during a guided walking tour through the historic All Saints Street neighborhood. \nThe AARCH Society African American History Walking Tour begins at the AARCH Heritage Center. \nAARCH guides will share stories about the neighborhood’s people\, landmarks\, culture\, and lasting influence. All Saints Street served as the center of Frederick’s African American community until the early 1960s. \nGuests will learn about the community’s history while walking through All Saints Street and nearby areas. \nThe AARCH Society African American History Walking Tour lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Tour groups remain small\, allowing guests to enjoy a more personal learning experience. \nEach tour allows up to 15 participants. The route covers fairly even walking surfaces. Organizers will hold the tour during light rain or sunshine. Along the path you’ll search for clues to answer the questions in your book. At the end of the rally all of the teams clue sheets will be scored. The team with the most correct answers will be crowned the winner! It’s not a race\, no bonus points are awarded for finishing first! \nFor an additional $25\, purchase a Poker Run scorecard at the start of the rally. Follow the Road Rally map to three designated stops\, where you’ll have your scorecard stamped and draw a poker chip.
