What do you think has helped you the most with your success?

Hard work, loving our customers, and being part of a community that truly values supporting locally owned businesses.

What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in order to achieve your goals?

There are many things out of our control like the economy, challenges from technology, and a changing workforce. I think being flexible and adaptable and embracing change is the key to long-term success.

What are you most proud of?

Consistently being the favorite jewelry store in Frederick for all these years. We have been here for so long and have so many amazing customers. Maintaining our reputation and standards makes me very proud.

As a business, I am most proud that my parents and grandparents stuck it out in Downtown Frederick through some challenging times. After the flood and during the mass exodus from Downtown to the malls and shopping centers- we were one of the only businesses that stayed. Downtown Frederick is certainly “the place to be” now but I am really so proud of (and grateful to!) them for staying here and being a cornerstone in Downtown for 75 years. We are the oldest business in Downtown Frederick and I am incredibly proud of that

What are three pieces of advice you could give to our readers?

Work hard, stay grateful, and trust your team

You inspire us, but what/who are YOU inspired by?

My parents and grandparents- I am so fortunate that I can run this business helping people show their love. And it’s all because of them!

How do you reward yourself when you’ve reached a goal or after a hard day of work?

My family and I love to do “Pizza movie night” which involves take-out and watching a movie. We usually sit at the table for dinner so eating in the living room while watching a movie is a big deal to my 5 and 8-year-old. (It’s rarely actually Pizza and often not a whole movie but we still call it that)
