Millions and millions of Americans gather around the TV to watch the biggest sporting event of the year, yet only 63% of viewers are interested in the actual game. Don’t worry! If you’re part of the 47% of viewers who aren’t so fond of football, there are still plenty of things you can enjoy as the Super Bowl plays out.

Here are just a few things to look forward to on Super Bowl Sunday:

1. The Halftime Show

The Super Bowl Halftime Show has consistently been one of the biggest highlights of the Super Bowl, and this year is no exception! While we’ve had more current artists in years past, such as The Weekend, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, etc., this year Pepsi is providing a show for the ages as Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and more take the stage for an epic performance. No matter your feelings on football, you’re almost guaranteed an incredible performance with this lineup!

2. The Food

I’m sure you’ve already seen plenty of articles all over the Internet showing off delicious game day recipes to try. While you may not care for the game, it’s definitely a great motivator to try something new with your food. Not a cook? Then you’ve got all the more reason to try a new and interesting snack from the store or sample what family and friends are cheffing up for the day.

3. The Commercials

We love them. We hate them. Most of all, we love to hate them! Yes, I’m talking about commercials! While they may be largely seen as an inconvenience in the way of watching our favorite shows, commercials in themselves can be entertaining and this is truest for the Super Bowl. Companies of all sectors spend insane money for just a fraction of viewers’ time on Super Bowl Sunday, which means they’re trying to make a huge impact in a small amount of time. To the viewers, this means these commercials are most certainly some of the most interesting commercials we see all year.

While it might seem counterintuitive to watch TV for the commercials, taking the time to check them out could not only lead to new product/service discoveries, it’s also a great conversation piece when the Super Bowl inevitably gets brought up in the days following.

4. Making Memories with Loved Ones

Last but certainly not least, the Super Bowl provides a great excuse to visit loved ones. Even if you’re not enjoying the game, you can enjoy socializing with your friends or gathering around the TV with your family. Bonus: Sometimes the football fanatics in your crew are entertainment enough when the football gets boring!

There are multiple ways to make the biggest football game of the year not about football! From music to food and memories, you have plenty of ways to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday just as much as the football fanatics.
