AARCH Society African American History Walking Tour
Explore Frederick’s African American history during a guided walking tour through the historic All Saints Street neighborhood.
The AARCH Society African American History Walking Tour begins at the AARCH Heritage Center.
AARCH guides will share stories about the neighborhood’s people, landmarks, culture, and lasting influence. All Saints Street served as the center of Frederick’s African American community until the early 1960s.
Guests will learn about the community’s history while walking through All Saints Street and nearby areas.
The AARCH Society African American History Walking Tour lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Tour groups remain small, allowing guests to enjoy a more personal learning experience.
Each tour allows up to 15 participants. The route covers fairly even walking surfaces. Organizers will hold the tour during light rain or sunshine. Guests will receive an email if severe weather forces a cancellation.
