Fire in Ice 2026
Fire in Ice is one of Downtown Frederick’s largest annual events, transforming the city with hand-carved ice sculptures, fire performances and interactive winter attractions. Each ice sculpture is a unique creation crafted by skilled artisans and displayed throughout downtown.
Friday evening activities include live ice carving demonstrations, fire performances at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater, and themed spaces such as the Polar Lounge and Ice Games Center. Saturday features an all-day Ice Walk with sculptures, ice games, food trucks, scavenger hunts, marshmallow roasting stations and continued access to the Polar Lounge and Ice Games Center.
The event also offers free shuttle service to and from designated remote parking locations, traffic management for safety and flat-rate garage parking during peak hours. Fire in Ice is presented by Atlantic Union Bank, with additional event sponsorships supporting specific activity areas throughout downtown.
