Carol Anderson, professor of African American Studies at Emory University and award-winning author of White Rage, One Person, No Vote, and The Second, is a leading voice on race, policy, and history in the United States. Her work has earned acclaim for its clarity and urgency, shedding light on the deep systemic inequities shaping modern America.

As a contributor to The 1619 Project and a renowned scholar, Anderson’s research has informed policy at institutions like the Ford Foundation, Amnesty International, and the United Nations, while influencing national conversations on civil rights and democracy.

This event is part of the Frederick Speaker Series, which brings world-class thought leaders to Frederick to inspire dialogue and foster community engagement.
