Follow Dorothy, Toto, and their famous friends during The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Drone Show in Frederick!
The 45-minute production will transform the night sky with colorful drone art and imaginative storytelling. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Drone Show follows Dorothy after a cyclone carries her from Kansas to Oz. Along the way, she meets the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion. Together, they confront the Wicked Witch and discover the power of friendship and self-belief.
Celestial will use innovative drone technology to bring the classic story to life above Nymeo Field.
Guests can arrive early for pre-show entertainment and themed activities.
Pre-show activities will include:
- Roaming characters
- Themed photo opportunities
- A DJ dance party
- Specialty concessions
- Additional magical surprises
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Drone Show will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. Gates will open at 7 p.m., and pre-show activities will continue until 8:30 p.m.
Families and friends can enjoy this outdoor retelling of the beloved children’s story. The stadium will offer general admission, field-level, reserved, and VIP ticket options.
Children ages 2 and younger can receive a free general admission ticket at the gate. Children in reserved sections must sit on an adult’s lap unless they have a purchased seat. Nymeo Field operates as a cashless stadium and accepts major credit cards. Guests may bring one factory-sealed water bottle or an empty reusable bottle. The venue does not allow other outside food or beverages.
