How did your business get started?
I created Be Natural Organics in 2008, motivated by my core beliefs of transparency, purity, and traceability. My products were selling out in my spa and I realized the need for Botanically Active Skin Care and opened my online store.
What makes your business stand out?
Be Natural Organics delivers our botanically active skincare directly to your door while it is fresh and potent. Our products do not sit in hot warehouses and store shelves. To ensure ingredient freshness, we require production dates from suppliers and only formulate what’s needed each week. We create fresh products as you place your order.
Why this business?
I believe that everything pure and organic is far superior to any synthetic counterpart and I stay true to this vision by constantly searching the globe for the freshest, most active plant materials. I understand that Pure Ingredients produces Powerful Results. We use certified organic, cold-pressed and medicinal-grade oils to live up to the highest standards.
How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?
I have been in the beauty industry for many years and knew how to run a business. I started taking formulating classes and realized how common it was for manufacturers to add many fillers to reduce cost and the use of harmful
chemicals for texture, feel and scent.
I knew I could produce outstanding skin care products using peptides, ceramides, stem cells and a plethora of other actives providing visible results. I hired a prominent cosmetic chemist to help me with my vision.
What is the best part about your business?
Reading customer reviews and seeing how our products have benefitted their skin! We especially love to see before and after photos.
The most challenging?
Our largest struggle was finding experts in each specialty. We are thrilled to say that we have created the perfect team and are so grateful for each and every one.
Where do you see your business in the next year? In the next five years?
We are in the process of creating a new innovative product that we are really excited about. Be Natural Organics is a fast-growing business that is enjoying a loyal following.
We have already made the commitment to use as much PCR (post-consumer resin) plastic from the ocean as possible. So far, we have one PCR bottle and will be transferring our current bottles as soon as new ones become available.
Who are your customers? Please describe them to us.
We are proud of the fact that we have a high percentage of returning customers. We strive to build long-term relationships with our customers and evolve with their needs. Many people are not aware that clean skincare products packed with botanical nutrients and active enzymes are many times more effective than their chemical-laden counterparts.
What matters most to you in your business?
Maintaining the quality, potency and freshness of our products, staying on the cutting edge of technology and to leave the smallest carbon footprint possible.
When you’re not running your business, what are you doing?
Working out, delivering “Meals on Wheels”, Playing Mahjong, face timing my Grandchildren and traveling!
