Lisa Pineiro’s evolution from television news anchor to the founder of Glotrition is a story of curiosity, determination, and ingenuity. While her days as a medical correspondent gave her insight into the science of health and wellness, it was her on-air experience—and the relentless spotlight on her appearance—that sparked her passion for healthy aging. Fueled by a journalist’s knack for asking the right questions and a drive to help women feel beautiful from the inside out, Lisa transformed her research into a groundbreaking brand. Tell us a little about yourself
I’m a proud mother of four wonderful boys, and we currently live in Dallas.I’m a former television news anchor and medical correspondent, and those experiences ultimately led me to become an entrepreneur and create Glotrition. I’ve always believed in nourishing my body from the inside out and have been deeply interested in healthy aging—caring for myself as efficiently as possible. Since I never had much time or money to waste on products that didn’t work, I focused on finding truly effective solutions.
When I was on-air, I became acutely aware of my own aging. In interviewing numerous medical professionals, I discovered that what you do internally often matters more than what you apply on the surface. I’m constantly looking for ways to outsmart Father Time, which is why I dedicate so much effort to researching and asking questions about healthy aging. My previous career in journalism gave me the skills to probe deeper and uncover insights that others might not consider.
How did you get to where you are today?
I took a lot of the information I garnered from interviewing medical professionals and scientific experts, and based on a formula these experts gave me, I created and became the founder of Glotrition. The original regimen was 15 huge pills, which I wanted to share with other women, but I knew it needed to come in a more digestible package!
One day, I was at lunch with a friend, and she took out a packet of Crystal Light for her drink. A lightbulb went off in my head, and that is really how Glotrition was born! I’m always trying to take inspiration from everyday life to find ways to make other women’s lives better.

Who has made an impact on you?
I am always inspired and influenced by women who seem to be “doing it all” and also women who have successfully recreated themselves—which I think is an ongoing theme with women as we age. I particularly love Sarah Blakely and her story. She is definitely someone who I look up to and admire. also love Lizanne Falsetto, the founder of thinkThin Bars. I think she is a great example of an entrepreneur and a woman.
What do you think has helped you the most with your success?
Listening to my gut! Not following specific rules but rather trusting myself. At the end of the day, as an entrepreneur your intuition is your best weapon. Knowing my brand and my values has been essential to the process. With Glotrition, I wanted to create products that were effective and valuable to women. I truly believe in “walking the walk” and taking what’s most important to me and building my business around that. For me, it was knowing that if someone is spending the money, the products better work! Lastly, you are your brand. What you put out there is a 100% reflection of you.

What has been the biggest challenge you have overcome in order to achieve your goals?
Becoming a numbers person! This is a really candid answer, but it’s the truth. I’m a creative person who loves science and formulations, but numbers were not my strong suit. When I started to better understand those things, that was when my business really began to thrive. There’s a difference between running a business and running a company—to run a company, you really have to understand the numbers.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of my four sons. I am proud of them for the adults that they’ve become, and the fact that they are—every single one of them—entrepreneurial. It makes me feel like I’ve infected them a bit with that. I’m so proud that I turned myself into an example for them to emulate.
As proud as I am of my sons, I’m also so proud of my fifth baby, Glotrtition! I’m happy that I was able to create such effective and valuable products which have helped women on their beauty, wellness, and healthy aging journeys.
What are three pieces of advice you could give to our readers?
- Know your numbers! Like I mentioned before, this is essential.
- Celebrate every little win. This can become harder as your business grows and you are on autopilot, but it’s important to get excited about all of the little things and not become jaded.
- Talk to yourself like you’re your younger self. Allow yourself to think and say, “you’re doing amazing, sweetie!” She would be so proud of how far you’ve come.
How do you try to make an impact?
If the only impact I ever make is helping another woman through the difficult journey of aging—if I can help her feel prettier, more balanced, and just a little bit better about herself—then that is everything to me.
How do you reward yourself when you’ve reached a goal or after a hard day of work?
Each year, either on my birthday or at Christmas, I buy myself a present. It isn’t always something grand, but it has to be practical—something I wouldn’t normally buy. For example, this Christmas, I bought myself an LED red light panel, and two birthdays ago, I got an ear piercing with a beautiful diamond earring.
