Life is beautiful- no matter the peaks and valleys weaved through it. However, some of those valleys can put a real damper on the beauty you’re able to appreciate- despite how high the peaks may be soaring. So, this begs the question: How do we overcome these valleys to be able to appreciate the beauty of life in its entirety? Unfortunately, there’s no quick fix or magic answer to clear up the clouds in your mind. Fortunately, there is work that can be done to allow you to live your most beautiful life.

Dive Into Yourself With Inner Work

Habit #1 is easily the hardest habit you’ll put in place.

Why? Because doing the inner work means taking a look at what’s REALLY going on inside your head and the experiences that are affecting the way you live your life. This can look like going back to past experiences, bringing up past feelings, and examining past and present beliefs that were so troublesome in the past that they’re negatively impacting your present.

Develop a Gratitude Practice

Having a gratitude practice is a sure-fire way to let yourself live your most beautiful life because you continue to notice the beauty of the world around you. When everything around you is beautiful, you absorb some of the beauty. Fortunately, developing a gratitude practice is pretty easy!

Also, you can get started right now. What are three things you’re grateful for? List them out on a piece of paper or in your journal. BAM! You’ve got yourself a gratitude practice! 

Gratitude practices can be as simple as that or as complex as you’d like to make it. The things you list you’re grateful for can be as great as significant events in your life or as little as the sunlight filtering through your window. That’s the fun of developing a gratitude practice! You can make it completely your own to maximize the way you appreciate the beauty before you.

Retrain Your Brain to Foster Positivity 

Your brain is full of programming- from the way you react to others & yourself to the way you process the world. This programming comes from many different sources: your parents/guardians, significant events, the environment you live in, etc. So, if your brain has been trained to think in certain ways, can you retrain it?

Of course! How? Affirmations!

Affirmations are a powerful tool that help you reprogram your thought patterns into anything you’d like them to be. See- you already practice affirmations, even if this is the first time you’re hearing of them. Don’t believe me? When was the last time you called yourself a name? For example, you thought to yourself, “I’m so stupid for doing that!”. These statements about yourself are a critical piece to your programming that have the power to shape your mindset. Therefore, by introducing positive thoughts tailored to how you want to feel and act, you have the ability to overwrite what you were previously told with more positivity and alignment to who you want to be. 

Start Seizing Opportunities to Live Your Best Life

Mindset may make up the majority of what it takes to live your most beautiful life, but it’s not everything!

Once you’ve got your mindset right and you’re feeling confident, beautiful, and grateful for yourself and your current situation, it’s time to burst out of your comfort zone! We all have dreams and aspirations outside of our current situation, whether it’s to make more money, have a bigger house, have the perfect significant other, etc. The difference between those living a normal life and those living their best, most beautiful life is the drive to chase those dreams and aspirations.

So, if you’re ready to live your most beautiful life, get out there and start chasing those “impossible” dreams TODAY!
